Thomas Suffield

Thomas Suffield has twenty years of experience in developing, financing and acquiring infrastructure assets and optimizing the related commodity value stream. He has a proven track record of acquisition and value maximization of highly structured commercial transactions in competitive markets throughout the world. Mr. Suffield has a demonstrated ability to originate, develop, implement, and lead strategic business initiatives and produce substantial earnings through highly complex multi-faceted transactions.

Mr. Suffield was recently the Sr. Director of McDermott International’s Ventures Group-leading their M&A team. Prior to McDermott, he formed Cedars Capital, LLC where he continues as Managing Director.  Cedars Capital provides energy capital services to originate development and acquisition assets and the related commodity inputs of oil, natural gas, liquids and renewable feedstocks and the resulting power output for both domestic and international projects. He has provided development, financing, acquisition and divestiture services for traditional and renewable energy projects through:

SP Securities, LLC.  Mr. Suffield joined SP to initiate its M&A business with a focus on Energy, Infrastructure and Technology based Investment Banking. Mr. Suffield represented sell-side transactions of mid-stream and down-stream energy, oilfield service and early stage/venture capital. Representations in the energy value chain, including transactions and employment.  He holds Series 22 and 63 FINRA securities licenses.

Prior to forming Cedars Capital, Mr. Suffield was a Senior VP at El Paso Corp, acquiring power plant assets for restructuring.  Before El Paso, he was a Vice President with Enron in various roles with their international, domestic and water groups.  Prior to Enron he worked for Falcon Seaboard Power, providing financial analysis for their power developments, worldwide.
