Scott Sucher is a Managing Director of OFSCap, LLC. He is also a partner at Tricap Partners and Co., LLC, a boutique alternative asset investment firm focused on Latin America. Scott has over twenty years of experience in corporate finance in the region, having worked for over 15 years in investment and wholesale banking and asset management and another five years working with regional oil and gas exploration companies.
In addition to investment work, Scott is deeply involved in the opening of the energy sector in Mexico. He has a leadership role with a Colombia exploration and production company now evaluating opportunities in Mexico. Additionally, he has a strong network in the energy sector which provide multiple investment opportunities in the sector, including CFE and Pemex contract monetization, oil rig financing and alternative energy projects.
Previously, Scott served as Chief Financial Officer for Condor Exploration Inc, a private oil and gas exploration company with assets in Oklahoma and Colombia; Condor is now a partner with Pacific Rubiales in a significant oil field in Colombia. Previously, he originated and executed senior secured loans to early stage Latin American corporate clients for Medley Capital, then a $1 billion AUM (now $2.5 billion) alternative investment hedge fund based in NYC. Prior to switching to asset management, Mr. Sucher was in charge of Latin America Asset Backed Securitization for West LB, a German wholesale bank; responsibilities included originating, structuring and executing securitization transactions for Latin American clients. In addition, he previously served in a similar capacity at Deutsche Bank Securities. In these roles, he has completed numerous debt transactions across Latin America in a wide variety of industries. Mr. Sucher started his career in Latin America investment banking at Nomura Securities over twenty years ago, executing equity and M&A deals as part of the Latin America corporate finance group.
Scott earned a BA in Economics with Honors from Swarthmore College and holds an MBA with Honors from Georgetown University Graduate School of Business.
