Mr. Tucker is a Managing Director of OFSCap and has over thirty years of financial, investment, and employee benefit consulting experience. He was a member of the KPMG national actuarial leadership group and served on various national committees at Mercer. Doug has assisted many companies with capital formation and structure as well as operationally. He has worked with entrepreneurs and inventors up to Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Tucker has worked with high net worth individuals, not-for-profits including foundations and endowments, government entities, and private and public companies.
Doug has been an owner/partner in numerous businesses across various sectors. A partial list for the financial sector includes starting the following: a Broker/Dealer, a Registered Investment Advisory firm, EB-5 regional center and a bank. As a sample of some energy related businesses he has been an owner in: a 4D (time) real time seismic software company, an energy technology incubator, and buying a decommissioned Naval station that included dock supply and logistics services to offshore drilling as well as small scale LNG liquefaction.
Mr. Tucker has been a speaker for a number of professional organizations such as the Society of Actuaries and the TSCPA. He helped establish and has been actively involved (for about 25 years) with the Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation College of Business Administration at the University of Houston which has for many years has been ranked the #1 undergraduate program in the US. Doug was a member of the Houston Investors’ Association Board and has been involved with many other charities. Some of these charities include Junior Achievement, United Way, Houston Ballet, and Lighthouse Cooking Team Foundation.
Doug received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting with a minor in Business Statistics from Baylor University where he was on the Dean’s Distinguished Honors List. He was an officer in Beta Alpha Psi, an honorary accounting fraternity. Mr. Tucker received academic and athletic scholarships. He participated on both the track and cross country teams. Doug is a CPA licensed in Texas, an Enrolled Actuary with the IRS, and an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA). He was a registered Investment advisor (RIA) and maintains FINRA security licenses series 7, 24, 27, 28, 66 (combination 63 & 65), 79 and 99.
