Beatriz Camarena Maney – Ms. Maney is a Managing Director and Co-Founder of OFSCap, LLC and the General Counsel and Co-owner of Producers Energy, LLC, an oil and gas operator in Texas and Louisiana. Ms. Maney is an expert in international law, foreign affairs, oil and gas transactions and state-owned enterprises, is licensed in Mexico and has been practicing law in Mexico for over 15 years. She served as international legal liaison to foreign oil and gas entities for Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX), Mexico’s state-owned petroleum company. Beatriz is a frequent speaker in Oil & Gas Energy Panels, and currently focuses in local/ international players interested in the process of participating and investing in government bids in the Oil , Gas and Energy business, with the need of an strategic JV partner as well as raising funds for such projects.
She also served as Head of Economic Development and Foreign investment at the Mexican Foreign Affairs Department, where she specialized in political and economic cooperation with foreign governments. Before starting her L.L.M. at the University of Houston, Beatriz attended the Southwestern Legal Foundation in Dallas at Southern Methodist University. Beatriz earned a law degree from Universidad Autonoma de Aguascalientes, Mexico and then finished a Diplomatic Degree at UNAM (Universidad Autonoma de Mexico) specializing in comparative law between the US and Latin American Countries, focusing on oil & gas transactions. She worked for the Foreign Affairs Secretary in Mexico, and lived in Switzerland for six months developing a program on Human Rights in front of the United Nations. She earned a Masters of Law LLM degree in International and Economic Law at the University of Houston Law Center, where she serves on the Board of Directors. Beatriz has completed the International Commercial Arbitration Workshop (The UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules in Practice), and is a Member of The Houston Producers Forum (HPF) and the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA).
