Mr. Andrés Peña is the Group Vice President of Copower Enterprise, of Hong Kong, China’s leading private oil company. He has extensive experience in advising governmental and private companies on business activities that bridge between the cultures of China/Asia and Latin America. In 2009, he was Acting Consulate General of Mexico to Hong Kong and Macao, and the Deputy General Counsel for Mexico in Shanghai from 2005-2009. From 1991-2005 he held many positions for the Government of Mexico in China, the Philippines, Singapore and Hong Kong. Mr. Peña received a B.A. International Relations, United States International University, San Diego, a B.A. Contemporary Chinese Language & Literature, Beijing Language Institute, a Masters in Strategic Business and Economic Planning, University of East Asia, Manila, Philippines, and a Masters in Public Policy, National University of Singapore/Harvard University along with a Diploma, Diplomatic Studies Instituto Matías Romero de Estudios Diplomáticos, SRE, Mexico City, (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mexico). He is fluent in seven languages: Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese Chinese, Tagalog, French, Portuguese, English and Spanish, his native language.
