Paul Trimmer – Natural Gas Marketing, Supply and Infrastructure
Mr. Trimmer is an internationally recognized expert and consultant on natural gas marketing, supply and infrastructure, with more than 30 years’ experience including positions as: CEO, Shell Energy Europe, President Shell Southern Cone Gas & Power, Director Supply and Power, Comgás SA and Director Marketing, Transredes SA and General Manager, GasTransBoliviano SA. He is a Senior Advisor to Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) on energy infrastructure, in US, Europe and Australasia. In this role he provides strategic and commercial advice relating to investments in energy infrastructure (pipelines, storage, LNG facilities and terminals) as well as potential shale gas outcomes. He is also an Advisory Board member of a regional gas & power company. As an independent senior consultant he has supported a major consulting company developing the national gas market strategy and associated reserves development plan for a major African oil producer. He has also been a senior consultant to a key European oil and gas company developing their mid-stream strategy. He has more recently provided expert input on consulting projects for a Russian oil major in partnership with OFSCap.
Luis Alberto Gutierrez – Bitumen Marketing and Production
Mr. Gutierrez was GM Americas is a leading expert on the global bitumen industry. For six years he was a key member of the Shell Global Bitumen Management Team with bottom line accountability and responsibility for developing and implementing international business strategy. He is a recognized global authority on bitumen markets, with over 20 years’ experience in all aspects of the industry, covering production, distribution, sales, marketing, technical support and human resources recruiting and training. Mr. Gutierrez is proficient in business strategy development and implementation in multicultural environment and has a successful track record in managing for profitability and ability to innovate and challenge existing business. Mr. Gutierrez has recently provided expert input on consulting projects for a Russian oil major in partnership with OFSCap.
Peter Henkemans - Strategy Development and Change Management
Peter is a recognized expert on strategy development and change management with over 20 years experience in the energy and oil & gas market, serving clients including Repsol, Shell Global solutions, Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), Alliance Oil Company (Russia) and Rompetrol (an affiliate of Kazmunaygas). During his career he has worked both in Upstream, Refining and Retail organizations. Furthermore he is a specialist in behavior based safety with successful projects both in Europe (IBR-Gunvor) and Latin America (Ecopetrol). His strength lays in working cross culturally and impact all layers of organizations to impuls change. Currently he is working with OFSCap in an industry expert role on a project for a large Russian Petrochemical player.
Mr. Duarte is a leading figure in the frontline of international development of agribusiness and renewable energies from energy crops. His key area of interest is high performance biomass crops. He has been based in Brazil, since 2001, where he has undertaken a variety of market studies and financial advisory assignments on behalf of technology owners and business developers. He is Founder and Director of Terraquente Agropecuária Ltda, an agribusiness and livestock farming and consultancy firm that he initiated in 2003, along with his own farm Fazenda Caiçara in Northeast Brazil. Mr. Duarte brings considerable experience of successful project development in Brazil and Africa to the table. He served for two years (2010-2012) as the Agribusiness Director within the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in Brazil. He is also the founder, Vice-President and Agribusiness Director of the Angolan Chamber of Commerce in Brazil since 2010.
Mario was an Operations Manager at Shell Bitumen Chile and responsible for operations, laboratory quality control and distribution of asphalt in two plants. Project manager for construction , start-up, and staff training of a new depot and emulsion plant. Design and installation of a floating storage depot in Chile Arica port for penetration grade, receiving from ship to barge, and transfer to land storage facility. Bitumen distribution on trucks to Bolivia. Responsible for the design and construction of Modified Bitumen Plants in Santiago and Talcahuano. Design and installation of plant emulsions, cutbacks and PMB.
He then was Operations Manager for the Cluster (Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Bolivia and Peru) Control of plant operations, development of new plant projects in Bolivia, Bitumen terminal development plan in Uruguay, design of new Bitumen plant Shell refinery in Argentina, installation and commissioning. Bitumen Operations Manager for Latin America, including Colombia , Ecuador , Central America ( Honduras , El Salvador, Nicaragua and Guatemala ) and the Caribbean ( Puerto Rico , Jamaica , Guadalupe , Martinique, Dominican Republic , British and French Guyana); operational control of all plants , project development for plant upgrades, site management and distribution of bitumen truck .
Project development, installation and commissioning of new Bitumen plant in Guayaquil, Ecuador .Plant upgrade projects in Colombia, Guadeloupe, Puerto Rico, Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua. Project new PMB plant in Honduras. HSSE control in all countries, high performance in plants and distribution. Winner of several awards for low accident frecuency, including five years without accidents in plant operations and truck distribution in Chile. Mario is a member of the Shell Global Bitumen Operations Excellence Team.
Gabriel Castro – Senior Consultant
Mr. Castro is a highly qualified international executive, with deep knowledge and experience in the downstream oil industry. Mr. Castro has a vast experience in management, negotiation and development of strategic lubricants and fuels businesses involving key areas such as: sales, marketing, logistics, and production, in Brazil and in Latin America. He has worked on many global projects such as the world-class distributor management strategy development for BP Castrol. Mr. Castro has performed both in operational and strategic functions in several organizational levels during his career for Maraven, Shell and BP Castrol among others. He has acquired keen business acumen and the capacity to identify business opportunities that can be transformed into profit.
Mr. Saruls has worked for 29 years at BP Castrol, leading the following areas at Industrial business : Marketing B2B, Application Engineering, Sales Business Development , Lubricant Service Managing and Research & Development. Roberto has a solid knowledge in managing projects , develop market plans or corporate strategies that require analysis of margin pool, product competitiveness, market analysis, profitability and logistics. He has a strong technical background in application of lubricants at Automotive, Steel, Mining, Sugar & Alcohol and Paper segments. One of his strength is working cross culturally and manage teams with diversity behaviors to meet the target objectives. Currently he is working with OFSCap in an industry expert role on a project for a German lubricant player.
